We’ve got you covered.
We at Harder Concrete Inc. are confident in the outstanding quality of our products. new concrete material and workmanship are backed by a two-year limited warranty.
Defects in concrete needing repair are defined as cracks in the concrete that are ¼” or greater in separation or height difference; and/or popped or chipped concrete taking up 30% or greater per section. Only the defected sections will be entitled to repair under warranty.
Warranty issues can only be addressed during the summer months. If for any reason (i.e. weather, availability, etc.) we are unable to service at the time that the claim is submitted, harder concrete inc. Will commence warranty repairs the following year provided that the claim was made prior to the warranty’s expiry.
Harder Concrete Inc. Will apply two coats of high gloss, high solids cure & seal sealant to the concrete after the expansion cuts and as soon as the weather permits. On the same day as the cuts we will do the initial wash of the concrete deck removing approximately 80% of the release agent. This is the minimum amount we require to be removed to apply sealer and have it bond to the concrete surface properly. From there we can remove more to achieve the customers’ desired look.
The sealer provides a high gloss finish and allows the concrete to properly cure. our sealer works as a curing compound by slowing down moisture evaporation on freshly placed concrete. this ensures proper strength development and minimizes shrinkage cracking. We add an anti-slip grip product to the sealer which is a silica sand based product.
The sealer will slowly lose its gloss over the first 2 weeks but will continue to protect your concrete. the glossy look will last much longer on future re-coats. We highly recommend resealing your concrete every 1-3 years to keep it protected and looking new.
Note: until the initial sealer is applied it is recommended that once the cuts and initial wash are done, the customer applies water to the deck a minimum of 2x daily until sealed. doing so will allow the concrete to absorb moisture and help prevent early shrinkage cracks until the sealer is applied.
During the winter months please do not use any sort of ice melt or salt on your concrete & use plastic shovels only. harder concrete inc. will not be held responsible for damaged concrete that is directly related to any of the above.
